Program of Knowledge Factory was officially opened by Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska, Mr. Milorad Dodik, while Vice-President of Government of Serbia and Minister for Economy and Regional Development, Mr. Mlađan Dinkić, Mayor of Belgrade Mr. Dragan Đilas and of course host of the event, ComTrade’s President Mr. Veselin Jevrosimović also addressed the crowd.

ComTrade ITSS representative in the jury of informatics competition
Belgrade, May 22th 2010 – Supported by numerous companies including ComTrade ITSS, final event of the second informatics competition for high school students „RAF Challenge 2010“ was held today. The competition is organized by Mathematical Society of Serbia and Faculty of Computer Science Belgrade. Starting with this year, the competition features two separate categories for participants. In the first category, the task was to create a presentation on topic „Natural beauty of Serbia“, while the other category required the participants to make a videogame or flash animation with free choice of thematic content.

Since 29.09.2009 Promonte company (a part of Telenor Group) in Montenegro is using Oracle Siebel CRM (Customer Relationship Management system) in daily operation.
CRM system allows the company to manage, synchronize and coordinate the data about its clients, thus creating an advantage over the competitors. EdIT 09 - Another success story finds its happy ending
Finally, everything is finished. Summer school of programming EdIT 09, organized in record breaking 6 locations in 3 different countries this year (Ljubljana, Maribor, Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Belgrade and Novi Sad) is successfully brought to its end, while achieved results give us a lot of reasons for optimism regarding the future of our company. Several topics were covered, with the factor connecting all the different groups being high level of participant interest and motivation.
EdIT 09 closed in Kragujevac, opened in Belgrade
On Friday, July 17th in the premises of Spinnaker New Technologies in Kragujevac , ceremony was organized to award diplomas to all participants who successfully completed two weeks of training in the latest annual edition of EdIT. Present guests and media representatives had a chance to hear from Srđan Atanasijević, Bojan Tanasijević and Ivana Bošković, members of EdIT organization team, as well as from participants themselves who demonstrated the project completed during the course of the program, referenced all the knowledge and experience they gained here and shared their impressions from EdIT.
Traditional EdIT summer school kicks off
EdIT09, summer school of programming by ComTrade IT Solutions and Services kicked off on Monday, July 6th at 9:00AM in the computer center of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Kragujevac, where 17 participants will work on development of the project „Java SMS Server“ with the help of their mentors and instructors.
From Oxford to Harvard
Aleksandar Petrović, whose scholarship is provided by Spinnaker, is currently in Boston, where he takes part in one-month long study at Harvard University and MGH (Massachusetts General Hospital). During his stay, he will expand and improve algorithms which he developed in the course of his Oxford studies. Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, where Aleksandar currently resides, in known around the world after its models for cortex surface analyses based on MRI images.

We participated in the first SMOUG conference
ComTrade IT Solutions and Services participated in the first Oracle User Group conference in Serbia as a partner and a User of Oracle Products. ComTrade Computer for the best student of Faculty of technical sciences
During the celebration of “FACULTY OF TECHNICAL SERVICES DAY”, held on May 21st – 23rd to commemorate 49 years since this academic institution came into existance, ComTrade Group presented Ivan Kastelan, the best among the best graduating students, with a ComTrade computer. ComTrade Group donated informational health system worth 6.5 million dinars to the Barajevo Health Center
Spinnaker New Technologies, a ComTrade Group member company, has developed and donated a modern IT solution applicable to the current administrative health system.
This 6.5 million dinars worth donation included implementing of this solution to the existing system as well as medical doctors’ training. One of the main purposes of this system is guaranteed health protection made possible by the future use of e-cardboard for each patient.

Danas Conference Center together with Spinnaker New Technologies as a technical partner, organized a conference dedicated to Internet Economics on the 16th of March, 2009 in the premises of Hyatt Regency Hotel in Belgrade. ##

ComTrade IT Solutions and Services comprised of Hermes SoftLab and Spinnaker New Technologies participated at the 15th jubilee conference YU INFO which took place on mountain Kopaonik, in the congress center Suncani vrhovi, in the period of 08-11.03.2009.

New Public Sector Contract for Spinnaker
Ministry of Trade and Services signed a contract with Spinnaker for providing services of design and implementation of an Information System which will significantly improve operations of this Ministry. The contract regarding workflow management of the Trade Inspectorate was signed on December the 12th of 2008. The project will automate relevant business processes, as well as set operation standards and optimize the procedures of the Trade Inspectorate.

In the spirit of incoming holidays, Spinnaker donated IT equipment to primary school Karađorđe from Belgrade. Principal of the school Milan Žegarac visited us with a couple of his students. Luka Dangubić and Miodrag Janković are in the 8th grade and they are in charge of the school website. Milan Žegarac was very grateful and pointed out the contribution of this donation.
Brand New Product
We have a new cooperation with a manufacturer of a data management storage, backup and archiving solution called GINGCOM. The innovative solution was introduced approximately a year ago in Germany and we bought a first unit for our Demo Center to be able to demonstrate it first hand to you in Belgrade.

Spinnaker in Venice
Spinnaker supported the project Wonlich on the 11. Exhibition of Architecture in Venice.
Authors of Wonlich are a group of architects and professors from Faculty of Architecture Belgrade. The project, chosen by a Jury of Experts in Serbia offers a modern view of the world while presenting a symbiosis of architecture, light and sound. For the next three months Wonlich will continue to represent Serbia in Venice in The Serbian pavilion.

Veselin Jevrosimović, the owner and the President of ComTrade Group has received the Charter of the Honor Citizen of Boston for his contribution to the community and for helping in development of local economy. By establishing a subsidiary in Boston, ComTrade Group brought successful and advanced software solutions to American market, as well as mastered knowledge of modern technologies for software development. Triple celebration at Oxford
Aleksandar Petrovic, Spinnaker scholarship holder, celebrated for Easter an award for best graduate study, presented by Belgrade Chamber of Commerce. HERMES SoftLab shareholders accept offer from ComTrade Group
HERMES SoftLab shareholders have accepted ComTrade Group’s acquisition offer submitted on March 18th 2008. The merged entity will be the largest IT company in South East Europe with capabilities to provide an entire range of IT solutions and services, as well as distribution of IT products, both locally and across the region.
Greetings to ComTrade from Japan!
Mr. Aleksandar Petrovic who received scholarship from our Spinnaker to study in Oxford, has contacted us from Japan where he has been staying for almost a month. Talking about his impressions, he’s told us that things are pretty exciting over there. He works hard because Japanese are quite specific on matters of work and they have their own ways, which as he says, gives his stay a new dimension. During his first month he’s worked as a marketing research assistant, while for the next three weeks he’ll be spending his time in a near-by factory as an R&D engineer. "Only now at this point have I come to realize the difference between science and "concrete" work – production and sales, which is a valuable experience for me", Aleksandar told us.
