ITS – Information Technology School became a member of the EMC Academic Alliance – an international community of High-education learning institutions. The initiative for establishing this kind of academic family was launched by the EMC – the world’s leading IT Company in the field of storage, virtualization, security and cloud computing.
ComTrade’s ITS school, is the only school in this part of Europe that has this type of cooperation and partnership with EMC Corporation.

Knowledge Factory – the largest IT event in the region has opened its doors in Podgorica, at the University of Donja Gorica, as a central event of the Open Science Days in Montenegro. Knowledge Factory was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro for Economic Policy and Minister for the Information Society, Prof. Dr. Vujica Lazović. He said that the level of computer literacy in Montenegro is below the European standards, but there is a good basis for further development of information technology. He said that the number of computer and internet users is large, stating the necessity of changing the way they are used. IT economy affects all aspects of country functioning, and intense technological development as well as accepting the inevitability of economic and social progress is determining the overall development of Montenegro as a modern state.

September 1 marked the premier work-day of the first information technology high school in Serbia – ITHS. The welcoming ceremony for the first generation of students was held in the ComTrade Technology Center, and was attended by 45 students who will build their future career in information technology. Students were welcomed by school director prof. Dr Valentin Kuleto, who emphasized the benefits of a career path in IT.

A series of successful EdIT (Education for Innovative Thinkers) events is now behind us. On Friday, July 29th, the last EdIT for this year was completed on closing ceremony in ComTrade Technology Center in Belgrade. EdIT in Belgrade is the last event organized by ComTrade this summer, after events in Ljubljana, Maribor, Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Kragujevac.
