This year, ComTrade continues to run a free summer school, organized within the framework of its permanent investment program aimed at growth of talented IT experts, bringing together dozens of young programmers from the entire region and giving them a chance to learn under the supervision of experienced professionals. Traditionally promoted under the name EdIT (Education for Innovative Thinkers), this event annually attracts significant attention among the industry circles, producing a huge number of applications for ComTrade to process and select the best applicants. The chosen participants will spend 10 days facing realistic challenges encountered during work on large-scale professional IT projects.

The topic for EdIT summer school in Serbia this year will be “Flying drones with the help of an Android device”, which means that participants will gain an opportunity to put their mobile application development skills to a practical test. EdIT 13 themes for summer schools in Slovenia are “Gamification of mobile portal“ and “Bodi Smart Bodi Eko”, and finaly in BiH the themes will be “Gamification in finance and banking“ and „Campaign management system”.

Kragujevac, Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Maribor and Ljubljana summer schools will open their doors from July 8th to July 19th, followed by EdIT in Belgrade which starts on July 22nd and runs through August 2nd. All expenses of the summer school are fully paid by ComTrade, guaranteeing that every deserving young person can participate and not only those who have the best financial backgrounds.

Our company has received the prestigious Corporate Superbrands Serbia award, in the category of information and communication technology, at a ceremony held last night at the Metropol hotel, Belgrade. Srećko Miodragović, adviser of the president of the Group received the award.

“In the strong competition, we were chosen as the best in our business, which gives us an extraordinary incentive for further work. This is the second Superbrands award which we won, and the first has been given to us in 2007. We already strive to deserve such valuable prizes for our future work too.”, said Miodragović.

At the ceremony, speakers were: Superbrands representative from the UK – Stephen Smith, president of the organizing committee, Simeon Comokos, and president of the Corporate Superbrand Serbia, Toplica Spasojević. He pointed out that in the competition for the award were about 1.600 known brands in the country, divided into 34 categories depending on the sector in which they operate. Based on the votes of Superbrands council, comprised of leading figures from business, marketing, media and consumer audience, they selected 244 companies from Serbia, for the “Superbrands” status.

“Superbrands” was founded in 1994. in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and today is the world’s leading platform for brand promotion, in order to recognize and popularize leading international and local brands in each of 80 member countries. The “Superbrands” was first launched in Serbia by TGI Group International Ltd. in 2007. as a way of honoring the most important and best brands in the country.

Based on the Gaming Act and the electronic gaming machine ordinance of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance, the connection of electronic gaming machines and video lottery terminals to BRZ GmbH is being prepared and the operation of electronic gaming machines, up to fifteen thousand is to be monitored within the scope of the Austrian legal requirements.

G2S message protocol was chosen as an open industry communication standard, developed and maintained by the Gaming Standards Association (GSA). G2S also provides a high level of security and data authenticity including flexibility of the monitoring of gaming machines to operators and gaming regulators.

ComTrade Gaming will deliver a module to manage communication with electronic gaming machines and video lottery terminals via the G2S standard in project in stages with the initial launch took place in January, and this will allow BRZ to start testing and trialling the new system. With the trial operation operators will have an opportunity to verify the interoperability of their gaming machines with G2S Protocol Engine before the production operation in July 2013 begins.

Contract was signed for duration of 5 years and is automatically extended after on yearly basis, subject to the agreement of the parties.
