How organizations can implement Agile not only in IT but also in business practices for success in the digital era?
On 14 November at 11:30 a.m., Marko Javornik, VP/GM Mobility & Travel, will host a roundable How organizations can implement Agile not only in IT but also in business practices for success in the digital era?
The Agile movement started with the recognition that IT projects are different – they are much more complex than traditional projects, requiring the approach to handle them to be fundamentally different.
But what happens when we are not talking about IT as a support function but IT as the main revenue and growth generating business function? What happens when a company truly becomes a digital technology company?
In short – this means that the whole company now needs to be Agile and apply fundamentally different values across the whole organization.
With several clear examples from mobility and travel industries I will illustrate how new digital companies are structured differently to maximize their value and achieve iterative approach to develop new business. These companies operate under different business models and have changed their organizational structures, core values, processes and methodologies significantly. In the end, it is all about finding a balance between innovation/exploration and exploitation of existing business models.
