Our growing company, Comtrade System Integration in Slovenia, is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to join our team in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a talented and motivated AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge AI solutions, leveraging Azure AI services to drive innovation and efficiency. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deploy AI models that solve complex business problems, with a focus on enhancing our product offerings and customer experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and implement AI solutions using Azure AI services, including but not limited to Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Bot Service.
• Develop and maintain AI models, with an emphasis on deep neural networks and data science methodologies;
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code primarily in Python and optionally in C#.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into products and services for our clients;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AI trends and technologies, continuously exploring new tools and techniques that could benefit the team and projects;
• Conduct data analysis and model testing to ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of AI solutions;
• Present complex AI concepts and results in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise;
• Participate in all phases of AI solution development, from concept to deployment and support.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field;
• Proven experience in AI and machine learning, particularly with Azure AI services;
• Strong programming skills in Python. Knowledge of C# is a plus;
• Deep understanding of data science, machine learning algorithms, and deep neural networks;
• Familiarity with different services on Azure (e.g. Redis, Function App, Storage, etc.) and the ability to utilize them;
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Proficiency in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
• Slovenian native speaker;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders;
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

SKILLS:

• Experience with other cloud platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform;
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio showcasing AI/ML projects;
• Certifications in Azure or related AI technologies;
• Competence in making API calls and working with web services, including HTTP protocols and data exchange formats like JSON, is preferred.
