Microsoft Exchange Engineer

Comtrade System Integration is looking for an experienced Microsoft Exchange Engineer (Messaging Solution Architect) to join our team in the Belgrade office. Exchange architecture, design, installation, configuration, support, operational management, migration, integration, and monitoring are the primary responsibilities of this role. Further to this, the focus is placed on performing daily administrative tasks to ensure the stability and availability of Exchange servers, Office365 troubleshooting, mail routing and replication related issues. An important aspect is the on-premises infrastructure integration with Exchange Online & Azure Active Directory for hybrid configurations along with appropriate security best practices. The candidate will also be responsible for implementation of policies, procedures, and technologies which ensure Exchange secure access, monitoring, control, and routine security evaluations. As per adopted SLA structure, this role is designated as tier 3 support and will handle escalations from the Help Desk team.


The candidate must be able to participate in infrequent after-hours and weekend support escalations as needed.

Comtrade System Integration is looking for an individual who will strongly represent Comtrade System Integration ICT brand and services with excellent communication skills and who will generate opportunities whenever possible.

Candidate should have IT project experience with:

  • Migrating to Microsoft Exchange (both actual version for on-premises and Microsoft Online service) from Microsoft and non-Microsoft email systems (Lotus, Postfix etc….)
  • Managing escalations and cases to ensure timely and high-quality resolution of all issues.
  • Configuring, monitoring, and managing alerts to track and report on Exchange, performance, and availability of related infrastructure and services.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology related field with 5 years’ practical experience or 10 years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of extensive and applied experience administering Windows Server OS 2008R2, or better (Standalone & Cluster) patching, domain admin, network configuration, security monitoring.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Exchange email system, planning, migrating, and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory Services including DNS, DHCP, and DFS.
  • Good knowledge of SCCM and SCOM, configuring, migrating, troubleshooting
  • Excellent knowledge of federated identity systems (Microsoft ADFS), multi-factor authentication (Azure MFA preferred), Microsoft AD Integration with Cloud Applications/Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
  • Functional knowledge of Network administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Continuity of Operations/Disaster Recovery architecture and planning.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts.

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

  • MCSA: Windows Server 2016
  • MCSE: Messaging

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
