Role Description:
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide expert support for data analytics and consulting projects, with a strong focus on big data, data warehouse solutions, and data governance. The individual will lead client engagements to understand business requirements, consult on strategy, and translate needs into actionable plans for the technical delivery team. Additionally, this role will actively participate in the implementation phase of data projects, contributing hands-on expertise and ensuring best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities also include preparing comprehensive technical documentation, contributing to webinars and sales events, maintaining up-to-date expertise in the latest cloud-based data engineering and analytics trends.
Key responsibilities:
- Working with sales, supporting technical presales of analytics solutions.
- Play a key role in project teams, delivering expert guidance and industry best practices for both cloud-based and on-premises Data Lake, Data Warehouse (DWH), Business Intelligence (BI) implementations.
- Participate in Design and implementation of DATA projects – data modelling, data integration, report development and other tasks typical for data analytics projects.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience with big data and data warehouse solutions, including hands-on involvement in data modelling, integration, or report development.
- Proven ability to lead client conversations, gather and document business requirements, and support the technical team during project delivery.
- Understanding of modern cloud analytics platforms (such as Azure, AWS, OCI, or Google Cloud); direct experience is a big plus.
- Experience in data engineering languages and tools (such as SQL, Python, Scala, Spark, Hadoop, Databricks) and BI visualisation is a big plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Slovenian.
- Relevant educational background (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field)
- Data engineering and architecture certifications are preferred.
