Comtrade celebrates International Girls in ICT Day in Kragujevac

Comtrade Group proudly supports International Girls in ICT Day, established to empower girls in choosing their future careers by encouraging them to break stereotypes and follow their interests and talents.  

At the invitation of the Association of Business Women in Serbia, this year we once again hosted a gathering for girls from the final grades of elementary schools in Kragujevac, held at our company’s premises. By visiting companies in the ICT sector – where women remain underrepresented – and meeting women who are entrepreneurs, business owners, and managers, the girls gain valuable insight into career opportunities and learn to challenge gender stereotypes in their professional choices.

We welcomed our young guests in Kragujevac on May 21, 2025, hoping their day with us would offer fresh perspectives on the lives and careers of women in IT. To promote inclusivity and create opportunities beyond the city center, we often collaborate with schools in smaller local communities.

The girls got hands-on experience with basic programming, followed by inspiring talks from our female engineers about their educational and career journeys. They toured the company’s facilities, explored various job roles, and ended the visit with refreshments and informal chats with our team.

The students left with smiles, gifts, and great memories. As a company, we’re proud to have taken another step toward encouraging more young people to pursue STEM fields and empowering them along the way.
