Applications for the 14th Thematic CERN School of Computing are officially open!

We’re delighted to announce that the 14th Thematic CERN School of Computing, taking place from June 9th to 15th 2024, will be held at Comtrade, in Belgrade, Serbia!

The theme of this year’s school is “Scientific Software for Heterogeneous Architectures”, and it’s organized by CERN in collaboration with the Information Technology School (ITS), situated at Comtrade campus.

Prospective participants should be postgraduate (i.e. minimum of Bachelor degree or equivalent) students, engineers and scientists with a few years’ experience in particle physics, in computing, or in related fields. Applications from all countries and nationalities are welcome.

The school will offer 28 hours of lectures and hands-on exercises, covering areas ranging from computer architectures to parallel and optimized software, and heterogeneous programming (CPU, GPU, HPC…). There’ll also be a student presentations session.

As a tCSC 2024 student, you’ll be able to enjoy various Comtrade campus amenities – such as modern lecture rooms and labs, a sports hall, cafés and a restaurant.
