ComTrade Inks U.S. Distribution Agreement with Ingram Micro

Newton, Mass. – Aug 7, 2012 – ComTrade US Inc, a leading provider of application management software, today announced a U.S. distribution deal with Ingram Micro Inc., the world’s largest technology distributor, to offer ComTrade’s complete solutions portfolio to the distributor’s extensive reseller customer base in the United States.

The distribution agreement includes ComTrade’s Management Pack for Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp and XenServer. The new relationship with Ingram Micro greatly expands the software company’s ability to connect with the appropriate virtualization channel partners and IT vendors in the United States. ComTrade will also work with Ingram Micro to drive VAR recruitment, provide technical support services and execute solution training for ComTrade’s product suite.

“Ingram Micro offers the breadth of reseller coverage and the deep understanding of virtualization that we were looking for in a distributor,” says Simon Taylor, VP, Product at ComTrade. “We are thrilled to be working with Ingram Micro to drive awareness and bring our Management Products to market in the United States.”

Available immediately to authorized Ingram Micro channel partners, ComTrade Management Products offer natively integrated plug-ins that connect enterprise applications such as Citrix XenDesktop, Oracle Siebel and EMC Documentum to enterprise monitoring platforms such as Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager and HP Operations Manager. Designed to provide end-to-end user monitoring and infrastructure management, ComTrade products reduce support costs by providing real-time issue remediation and a proactive view of an application environment.

“As virtualized environments become increasingly prevalent in today’s IT ecosystems, ComTrade’s ability to connect enterprise applications from industry leaders including Citrix and EMC to a variety of different enterprise monitoring platforms brings significant value to our channel partners and helps simplify management of these advanced infrastructures while reducing costs,” said Scott Zahl, vice president and general manager, Advanced Computing Division, Ingram Micro U.S. “We are pleased to bring ComTrade’s technology to the global marketplace and look forward to a successful launch.”
