ComTrade Simplifies Management of Citrix CloudPortal Services Manager
ComTrade, a leading developer of management products for Microsoft System Center, today announced the release of the Management Pack for Citrix CloudPortal Services Manager, which connects the Citrix platform for cloud application and desktop delivery with the leading monitoring tool, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
ComTrade has announced that it will be launching a demonstration of this new Management Pack at Citrix Synergy, Barcelona, October 17-18, with a full release slated for the end of 2012. ComTrade Management Pack for Citrix CloudPortal Services Manager will be compatible with Microsoft System Center 2012 and include monitoring and management of infrastructure components such as the provisioning engine and agents.
Reducing the time and cost of managing customers
CloudPortal Services Manager is the easy-to-use web portal that helps cloud providers manage the delivery of services and offerings to their customers for consumption by end users. ComTrade’s Management Pack for CloudPortal Services Manager helps service providers measure, monitor and manage the provisioning of hosted apps, desktops and cloud services, and delivers a complete end-to-end view of their CloudPortal Services Manager environment from within Microsoft System Center Operations Manager.
As a result of the relationship with Citrix, cloud service providers can now take advantage of a scalable and fault-tolerant monitoring and management solution with built-in intelligence and capabilities that bring immediate benefits. In addition, cloud providers will be able to monitor their environment’s health and state, from connectivity issues to utilization, to load and availability across all CloudPortal components.
Usage-based Licensing Model to Align with Citrix Service Provider Program
ComTrade offers its management products for Citrix XenDesktop® , Citrix XenApp™ and CloudPortal Services Manager in a consumption based licensing model. This is aligned with the Citrix Service Provider program and allows service providers to benefit from a predictable and flexible cost model.
Sridhar Mullapudi, Director, Product Management, Citrix
“Performance and availability are important to us and to our Citrix Service Providers. With the ComTrade management pack, partners using CloudPortal Services Manager can monitor thier environment in real-time, accessing the crucial performance data they need to troubleshoot issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Plus, many of our partners already use Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012, so the management pack integration with SCOM 2012 eliminates the need for additional IT monitoring tools.”
Simon Taylor, VP Product, ComTrade
“Citrix has become one of the primary drivers of cloud based initiatives worldwide and we are thrilled to announce that we will be supporting the Citrix cloud strategy with the release of ComTrade’s Management Pack for CloudPortal Services Manager. With this new release, service providers will be able to seamlessly monitor and manage applications and CloudPortal Services Manager itself via Microsoft System Center Operations Manager.”
