Comtrade Wraps Up Its Educational IT Program in Podgorica

For the 9th year in a row, Comtrade’s Knowledge Factory welcomed a large number of students from elementary and high schools at the University of Donja Gorica in Podgorica, Montenegro.

Held from 10-11th October under the slogan “Design your future”, the event aimed to inspire the next generation of innovators through a variety of activities that encourage digital and creative thinking skills.

This year’s program included lectures, creative workshops and knowledge quizzes, and brought together leading industry experts, guest speakers, government officials and media representatives.

Participating students were able to explore the latest topics and trends in information technology such as the Internet of things, web design and digital art, cyber security and geneder equality in the IT world. They were also given the opportunity to learn the basics of web design, test their general knowledge and meet famous regional YouTube stars.

As in the previous years, the event was sponsored by the Republic of Montenegro Ministry of Science, Ministry of Public Administration and Ministry of Finance.

Since it was first held in 2009, Knowledge Factory has become the biggest regional IT event attracting students from almost all municipalities of Montenegro.

The project is envisioned as an educational platform for young people and is just one of the incentives developed by Comtrade Group to boost digital literacy and support tomorrow’s IT leaders.
