ComTrade opened the doors of Knowledge Factory 2010

Belgrade, September 7th, 2010. – Knowledge Factory, an event dedicated to business and education and lasting from September 7th to 10th, started today at ComTrade technology center in Belgrade. Program of Knowledge Factory was officially opened by Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska, Mr. Milorad Dodik, while Vice-President of Government of Serbia and Minister for Economy and Regional Development, Mr. Mlađan Dinkić, Mayor of Belgrade Mr. Dragan Đilas and of course host of the event, ComTrade’s President Mr. Veselin Jevrosimović also addressed the crowd.

This is the largest IT event in the region, bringing together representatives of private and public sector and stimulating public debate regarding most important issues from this field. This year, the main focus of Knowledge Factory will be professional software solutions for various industries, since this is an area where local companies and public institutions have significant room for growth. Beside its own solutions, ComTrade also displays solutions offered by its long-term global partners, including some of the industry leaders.

Still, Knowledge Factory could not live up to its name if it didn’t open its doors for the youngest visitors, so elementary, secondary and university students once again became guests of ComTrade. They had a chance to see and try out the latest ComTrade’s education product – MiniBook portable computer equipped with locally developed learning software TeachMe. Young talents up to 26 years of age will also have their moment under the spotlight during Knowledge Factory, as the results of software idea contest “Right Click” will be announced on the last day of the event, with valuable prizes going to the best authors.

Another essential aspect of Knowledge Factory are the round tables, which bring distinguished experts from various fields to the same table in order to stimulate public dialog and accelerate resolution of some urgent issues. With help of moderators from ComTrade and in presence of the media, discussions will touch many topics related to use of information technology in different industries, as well as to perspectives for further growth of technology sector in the entire region.

During four days of program, Knowledge Factory will cover many different subject matters and attract large number of visitors. Detailed agenda and additional information is available at: www.fabrikaznanja.com.
