ComTrade to become Microsoft’s Partner of the Year in Slovenia

A novelty at this year’s Microsoft Partner Awards is the category of Microsoft Country Partner of the Year. First winner of this prestigious accolade for Slovenia will be ComTrade, company formerly known as Hermes SoftLab. The award is intended for partners from respective countries which have excelled in business performance and successful collaboration in providing Microsoft solutions. Our GM will receive the award officially next month in Washington D.C.

The annual Partner of the Year Awards event is designed to allow Microsoft to recognise those registered and certified partners who have developed superior solutions for their clients in the past year. The finalists and winners are selected based on nominations from all over the world. This year, partners from over 110 countries registered almost 3000 projects. The finalists and winners are set to be presented by Microsoft at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2010, which will take place between 12th and 15th of July in Washington D.C., USA.

ComTrade works with Microsoft on a range of projects for many years, so this recognition comes as a crown of already fruitful relationship. The award committee made its decision not only upon the past professional success of our company, but also on merits of IRIS project, a Microsoft based public sector solution implemented for Slovenian primary healthcare organizations. This attitude is reflected in statements from representatives of both Microsoft and ComTrade:

“ComTrade ranks amongst those Microsoft partners who we have teamed up with to established an excellent business and professional relationship by working on numerous successful and far-reaching projects. Without exaggerating we can say that this is an extremely advanced provider of top-class programme solutions, constantly applying our latest products and technologies,« commented Mojca Gostinčar, head of operations for small and medium-sized enterprises at Microsoft Slovenia.

Janko Cajhen, general director of ComTrade Slovenia: »ComTrade, formerly Hermes SoftLab, used Microsoft technologies and tools to develop and supply various successful solutions for Slovenian and international clients, including a host of Fortune 500 companies. The latest recognised and complex solution is IRIS for the field of e-healthcare. IRIS is already being used by a quarter of healthcare personnel and a third of Slovenians in primary healthcare. The solution enables a complete and efficient patient overview, including health care centre management processes.”

Besides ComTrade, several other Slovenian companies have demonstrated high level of performance and reliability, such as Agito which finished in top three global finalists in the category Custom Development Solutions – Smart Client Development, or Marg inženiring, which became Microsoft’s Partner of the Year in the field of public institutions solutions in Central and Eastern Europe.
